Meet DeLaTorre Law

Attorney Mayrise DeLaTorre was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and currently lives in San Antonio, TX. She obtained her BA at the University of Puerto Rico in Communications, Publicity y Public Relations graduating Magna Cum Laude. Later, she continued her studies for the Juris Doctor in the Interamerican University’s School of law, and she graduated Cum Laude.

She is admitted to the Supreme Court of Texas y de Puerto Rico, as well as to the Federal District Court of Puerto Rico and to the First Circuit Court of Appeals. With twenty (20) years in the field of law, Attorney DeLaTorrre has ample experience and proven track record to defend with tenacity and effort the rights of her clients. She poses years of experience in cases of family law, inheritance law and tort, among others. She obtained a Certified Fraud Examiner’s certificate and during her years as Legal Advisor to the Comptroller’s Office of Puerto Rico she assisted Puerto Rico’s District Attorney’s Office in cases of fraud against major politicians of high rank.

Currently she concentrates her practice in the area of immigration, defending clients against possible deportations before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Additionally, she devotes herself to zealously represent her clients in petitions and applications before the immigration agencies; as well as in consular processes.

Throughout her career, Attorney DeLaTorre has distinguished herself with her commitment to the community, and has worked with different non-profits in Puerto Rico and Texas zealously representing people with low-income.
